Mrs. Rem C., 50, and her husband, Mr. Thy Ouch, 53, married in 1991 and have two children: one son and one daughter. Both are married and live outside the family home. The family lives in a small village off of National Road Number Two about fifteen kilometers from Phnom Penh.



Rem has been selling fish that her husband catches for twenty-one years and she raises cows as well. Mr. Thy Ouch has been a fisherman for twenty-one years; he fishes from the lake faraway from his house.
