Olimpia is from the Totonicapán area, known as the land of apples. She currently dedicates herself to the sale and purchase of traditional clothing by visiting the rural areas offering her products, especially for women. With this business, which she has been carrying out for more than 25 years, she has strengthened her family and given them an adequate standard of living that includes all of the basic necessities. Today, she needs a loan to grow her business with the objective of visiting other municipalities of the Totonicapán department.
Doña Olimpia es originaria del departamento de Totonicapan conocido como tierra de las manzanas actualmente ella se dedica a la venta y compra de ropa tipica abulante que visitas las ares rurales del departamento ofrenciendo su producto especialmente para damas. Con ese negocio que lo viene realizando desde hace mas de 25 años a fortalecido a su familia en darles un nivel de vida adecuada con todas la necesidades basicas hoy necesita un credito para incrementar su negocio con el objetivo de visitar otros municipios del departamento de Totonicapán
About Asociación ASDIR
ASDIR (Asociación de Desarrollo Integral Rural - Association for the Development of Rural Communities) is a community-based organization that works to promote development in the villages and communities where it serves. It was founded in 1999 in the village of Nimasac, Totonicapán Department, by a handful of local men and women to support community projects and group loans. Today ASDIR has 5 offices across 3 departments (Totonicapán, Sololá and Suchitepéquez) serving more than 6,000 clients, most of them in rural communities.
