Nedie T., 35 years of age, is married and blessed with three children. Her husband is a Barangay Councilor. Mrs. Nedie T. is also a Barangay Health Worker. She became a member of Paglaum MPC last September, 2008. She was eager to be a member to take part in its various programs and services, especially for additional capital for her Hog raising business. She is a member in good standing and pays her obligation to the center on time. Her hopes and aspirations are for their children to finish their studies and have a stable job someday.
About Paglaum Multi-Purpose Cooperative
Paglaum Multi-Purpose Cooperative (PMPC) was founded in 1992 by the beneficiaries, parents and staff of the Paglaum Community Development Foundation to address economic and livelihood activities for sustainability. The organization operates in the northwestern provinces of Mindanao and Visayas.
In the local vernacular, “paglaum” means “hope.” The initial foundation is dedicated to child development through a holistic approach. The goal is to build self-reliance and expand opportunity so the poorest of the poor can help themselves.
