Around 50 years of age and with 7 persons for whom she is responsible, Mrs. Monifa Moumouni was born in Sokodé and lives with her husband who contributes what he can to their household expenses, despite his very limited means. Her business selling "Watsè" (rice prepared with dried beans, dried red peppers, and oil), very much appreciated in the central part of the country but also in certain parts of the capital (Lomé), has been dealt a blow by the economic crisis which is striking the developing countries, Togo included. She is requesting a loan to stock up on rice, dried beans, and oil, so as to put her business on a stable footing. This will allow her to improve living conditions for her numerous family.
