Mr Samba Diarra, 30, is married and the father of one child. He is monogamous and lives with his wife and child in the Médina Coura neighborhood of the town of Koutiala ( Sikasso region).

Samba did not go to French school, but he did 6 years of Koranic school before beginning to earn money together with his older brother, 15 years ago. Presently he is working in several businesses for himself, notably selling mobile telephones and others. He is much sought after by his customers, since he sells the best quality mobile phones.

In order to satisfy his customers' needs appropriately, Mr. Diarra came to the micro-finance institution Soro Yiriwaso with whom he is on his first individual loan. With this loan he expects to buy 10 mobile phones and spare parts. He buys his merchandise in Bamako (capital of Mali) and often in Lomé (Togo) and makes his sales in his shop in the big open-air market of Koutiala to a clientele made up of women and men, on a cash basis.

Mr. Diarra counts on making 225,000 F CFA in profit per month, which he will use for his own needs and to reimburse the loan. His ambition is to enlarge his shop so as to attract more customers.

Subject: PREMIER ET DERNIER FEED BACK
Location: Koutiala, Mali
