Agnes A. is fifty–one years old. She is widowed and has five children. She says two them have completed school and are currently working, and the rest are in the junior high and the primary schools. She lives with her children in a rented apartment in a fishing community called Aquase, near Cape Coast in the Central Region of Ghana.
Agnes works very hard to make some income to be able to support the family. She is a trader, and deals in clothes. She runs a boutique in her community. Agnes procures the textile goods from professional seamstresses in the regional capital, Cape Coast and sells in her community. She sells mostly ladies' apparel.
Agnes has been in business for three years and wants a loan to procure more garments to increase her stock.
