Chhoeun
Mr. Chhoeun L., 58, and his wife, Mrs. Vanny Sum, 55, who live along national road number one about 20 kilometers from Phnom Penh, were married in 1975 and have ten children: four sons and six daughters, but one of their sons died. One daughter was married and lives outside the family home, three children attend school, and the other three daughters are garment factory workers.

Chhoeun and his wife have been farming for 27 years. They grow rice, cucumbers, and other farm crops depending on the season. Chhoeun doesn’t have his own motorbike, so it is difficult for him when he wants to go somewhere; he always spends a lot of money on traveling costs such as motor taxi and so on. He also hopes to supplement his income with a pig raising business, which is why Chhoeun is asking for a loan of $1,000 to purchase a motorbike for his family's use, and to buy piglets for raising.
