Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

Manuel Antonio lives with his life partner and children. He raises corn, beans, and rice, and raises livestock at the same time. He’s been involved in agriculture for many years and is proud of it because he has been able to gain much experience which allows him to improve his harvests. He owns his farmland and it’s located in a very agricultural zone. His family helps him sell in many of the surrounding areas and he has many customers who prefer to buy from him because of the quality of the products, good prices, and good service. Manuel is an enterprising man, dedicated to his work, with a desire to succeed. He had some losses the previous season and did not get his expected income, so he wants to increase his production this season so that he can recover. He doesn’t have the necessary capital and he must make all purchases in cash, so he has requested a loan through INTEGRAL that will allow him to buy corn, bean, and rice seeds, fertilizer, tools, livestock, etc. Manuel Antonio is very responsible and has good credit references. He is certain that he will be able to repay the loan and improve his family’s quality of life.
