Kiva Lender: Stephen

Location: New York, NY United States
Occupation: writer, composer
I loan because: Microcredit via Kiva is a potentially massive strategy than could actually better the condition of billions. Reliance on charitable and philanthropic enterprises alone has not achieved this. Grass roots enablement can.
About me: During the 1960s I founded Renewal Magazine and wrote extensively on civil rights . church renewal and international development. I later worked for UNICEF and edited UNDP's CHOICES -- sadly defunct now. I want to change the world with words. Individuals can do it on the Web. Motivated individuals rule. Together with proper values, individuals can prevail over principalities and powers.
