Herlosita Esta

Herlosita is married to Hipolito, a farmer in their village. Their marriage has been gifted with six children: Gilbert – 34 years old, college undergraduate, working abroad; Bernard – 32 years old, high school graduate; Crisanto – 30 years old, high school graduate; Gerard – 25 years old, college undergraduate, also working abroad; Gersalin – 22 years old, also college undergraduate and Geny – 15 years old, a 3rd year high school student. Three of their children are already married. Her family lives in the hilly and peaceful Barangay of San Isidro.

Herlosita is engaged in farm activities. However, they lack financial resources to sustain their business so she is asking a loan of PHP10,000. She intends to utilize the loan to buy their needed farm inputs like fertilizers, seedlings, insecticide and herbicide. Some of the amount will also be used to pay for labor works for those who will help them during the planting period.

She is proud that despite their old age, she and her husband are continuously helping and supporting each other in reaching their dreams. They want their farming business to grow in order to generate higher income and provide for the educational needs of their youngest child who is now in high school. They hope that they can provide her educational needs until college and finish her desire course.

If the loan will be granted to her, Herlosita will no longer borrow from traders and somehow be free from asking credits to them in times of financial needs.
