Ruqaiya M.aslam Group

My name is Ruqaiya. I am 37 years old and reside in a city named Lahore, Pakistan. Lahore city is famous for its Punjabi foods and historical places. I am uneducated because my parents couldn’t pay for my education. My husband's name is M. Aslam. He also lives in Lahore and has run a rented motorbikes business for the last 5 years. I have three kids: two sons and one daughter. My elder son works in a factory on a monthly wage and my younger son works in a shoe shop as a salesman. My daughter reads in the 10th standard. I have successfully repaid my first loan from Asasah (a microfinance institute of Pakistan). Now I am applying again for a loan to buy another motorbike to expand my husband’s rented motorbikes business.

I am the group leader of one other woman from my locality. Najma baji wants a loan to buy scrap for her scrap business.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
