Selina Agustino

Selina is married with four children. She lives on the outskirts of Dar es Salaam, in the place called Lumo. After finishing primary education, she was married to a carpenter. Her parents could not afford her further education costs. After being married, Selina could not stand being a housewife alone. She started a cloth selling shop with the aim of generating income for the family, as her husband’s income was not sufficient to cover all family requirements, especially school fees for their children. It is now the fourth year since she started this business. She has experienced minimal improvements for all that period, due to competition she faces from nearby opened shops selling clothes. Selina has discovered unique competencies, usage of which can outperform her competitors. First is to have enough stock of frequently purchased clothes and second is to order new fashionable clothes that competitors could not order. These strategies need additional funding. She is in need of USD 750 to implement her plans.
