Ama Atta

Ama Atta is 34 years old. She is married with three children, all of whom are in school at the junior high and the primary school. She lives with her children and husband in a rented apartment in a fishing community called Aquase, near Cape Coast in the Central Region of Ghana.

Ama is a petty trader. She trades in vegetables such as peppers, tomatoes, onions, etc., on a table top in the market square. She procures the vegetables from the wholesalers and sometimes from the farmers in the nearby small communities at low prices. She says food vendors and other retailers normally purchase from her.

Ama has been in business for two years and wants a loan to procure vegetables in large quantities.
