Zeynal is the manager of a company-owned food store in the Agsu bazaar. For ten years he has been selling tea, sugar, flour, pastas, colas, snack items, and cleaning products. He used his Kiva-funded loan to expand and diversify his current stock of goods, plus add a small selection of produce. He handles his large shop by himself, with occasional help from a hired helper who assists him in unloading shipments of goods. Zeynal earns a profit of about 200 AZN each month, or roughly 235 US$. He says his business is going well and that he is able to support his wife and two children with his profits. His dream is to privatize some day soon and have his very own food shop.
