Paula

Paula is 19 years old and lives in her parents’ home with her 3-year-old son.

She has embroidered tablecloths for 2 years. Her sewing machine, the main tool of her trade, allows her to do her work quickly. Paula is grateful to one of her friends for teaching her this craft.

Now she embroiders everyday and puts nice finishes on the aprons and tablecloths that her customers bring her. This work has provided her enough income to support her young son; Paula likes her work because it is relatively easy and, working from home, she is able to look after him.

In the future, she wants to expand her existing work and start dressmaking. She is requesting a loan through MFP for the first time and is very keen to start working together with the other members of her group so that they can all make progress.

She is requesting 500 soles to purchase a semi-industrial sewing machine.

Paula tiene 19 años, vive en la casa de sus padres con su hijo de 3 años. Desde hace 2 años se dedica a realizar bordados de manteles, su principal herramienta de trabajo es su máquina de coser, que le permite avanzar su labor rápidamente, Paula agradece a una de sus amigas que le enseñó este oficio, y ahora ella todos los días se dedica a bordar y darle un lindo acabado a estos mandiles y manteles que le traen sus clientes. De esta manera puede obtener los ingresos suficientes para sostener a su pequeño hijo. A Paula le gusta realizar esta actividad porque es relativamente fácil y puede atender a su pequeño en casa. Para más adelante quiere seguir realizando estos trabajos pero en mayor cantidad, y también dedicarse a la confección de vestidos. Es la primera vez que viene solicitando un préstamo con MFP, y está muy entusiasmada de empezar un trabajo solidario para que ella y los demás integrantes de su grupo progresen. La cantidad requerida es para comprar una máquina bordadora semi industrial valorizada en 500 soles.
