Waziran M. Rafiq Group

Waziran baji is 52 years old and a married lady and citizen of a city named Kot Radha Kishan, Pakistan. She is married to a man whose name is M. Rafiq, and he has a dairy business. He has a buffalo and Waziran baji also helps him in getting milk from her and selling it to the milk shops. She has three sons. Her eldest son works in a factory on monthly wage. The others are not employed and don’t do anything. She successfully repaid her first loan from Asasah (a micro-finance institute in Pakistan). Now she is applying again for a loan to buy another buffalo to expand her husband’s dairy business.

She is the group leader for another four women from her locality. Sharifan baji wants a loan to buy groceries for her grocery shop. Zainab baji wants a loan to buy a buffalo for her dairy business. Jamila baji wants a loan to buy cosmetics and a hair dryer for her beauty parlor. Almay baji wants a loan to buy milk to sell.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.




About Group Loans
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a group of individuals bound by a group guarantee.
