I am a mother of six girls. My first two daughters weave carpets. The others are enrolled in a school and are getting educated. I help my daughters in their carpet weaving business. We complete a carpet in 1 month and than we sell it to the carpet shop and earn a good income.

I have successfully repaid my two loans from Asasah (a microfinance institute of Pakistan). Now I’m applying again for a loan to buy supplies (tea, sugar and milk) for my husband’s tea stall.

I’m the group leader of four other women from my locality. Razia baji wants a loan to buy school bags to sell. Bushra baji wants a loan to buy vehicles' spare parts to sell. Irshad baji wants a loan to buy seasonal fruits for her fruit selling business. Asia baji wants a loan to buy groceries for her grocery shop.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.




About Group Loans
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a group of individuals bound by a group guarantee.
