Nargis Ghulam Mustafa Group

Nargis baji is the wife of Ghulam Mustafa, who has lived in a mid-size city named Vehari, Pakistan, for the last 8 years. She is the mother of three sons. All are getting an education at a local school. Nargis baji operates a business sewing clothes. She learned this art from her husband, who operates a tailoring center in the community. He has been in this profession for the last 4 years. People come to him to stitch their clothes. He charges $2 for normal stitching, and $3 for designer clothes. Nargis baji is applying for a loan to buy an electric sewing machine for her husband’s tailoring center.

Nargis baji is the group leader of another three women from her area. Anwari baji requests a loan to buy mason's tools. Rukhsana baji requests a loan to buy a welding machine. Naseem akhtar baji requests a loan to buy groceries for her grocery shop.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
