The Village Bank “Las Rosas y las Guindas” is located in the district of Lircay, province of Angaraes in the department of Huancavelica. Angaraes has a population of 51,931 people and is one of the provinces with a lot of potential in agriculture, livestock and mining.

Delfina is married with seven children whose ages range between nine and twenty-five. She has a store that sells groceries, sodas, and cleaning products. Delfina started her business with just a few products and has been able to increase her merchandise with the loans she has received. She constantly travels to Lima to visit her two children who are studying there. She asked for a loan of $160 to buy more merchandise for her store. Her dream is to sell products to other stores, so she would like to buy a car to increase her sales, and she wants to be able to pay for her children’s education.

Dominga is married with two sons. She sells cleaning products. Before, she would purchase only a dozen of each product but now she is able to buy large packages with her loan money. Dominga asked for a loan of $320 to buy merchandise for her store. Her dream is to buy her own house.

Ana is married with three children. She sells clothes and some sweets. She was able to expand her clothing line from only children's clothes to clothes for the entire family. Ana asked for a loan of $320 to buy school uniforms. Her dream is to have a boutique and to buy a house.
