Each of the associates has a different business. The businesses fall under groceries, food, small animals, farming and handicrafts.

For example:

Modesta is 48 years old, married, has 3 children and owns a general store. She is also an artist and weaves carpets and rugs.

Mariluz is 24 years old, has a partner and has 2 children. She sells food in the park in her district and also sells vegetables in different towns.

The associates need several loans in the amounts of 300 soles, 600 soles and 900 soles for a total of 9,950 soles (3 soles = $1USD, approx.) in loans from the Communal Bank.
