Mery is 42 years old and she has lived with her husband for the past 14 years. She has 7 children. They live with her in the house that she inherited from her parents. She makes a living by doing a variety of activities. She makes money by raising guinea pigs, weaving, selling food items and she also has a few crops. She makes the most money by selling her weavings and through her weaving she is able to express her creativity and imagination. Her most important tool is her loom and the drawings that she uses to guide the colors in her weavings. Recently she also began knitting sweaters out thick yarn for girls and boys. She is able to make a profit by selling her knitted items and by selling of her woven tapestries. The money that she makes allows her to live with tranquility and to cover the costs of her childrens' educations. Mery's parents taught her how to weave and knit and this makes her feel very proud. She wants to be able to weave a greater quantity of tapestries so that she can sell them during Holy Week. Her town receives many visitors and tourists that come from all around the world. Mery is the president of her communal bank. This will be her third loan with MFP and she has always made her payments on time. The money that she is asking for will be used to buy materials for her weavings so that she can increase her income and improve the quality of life for her family.

Mery cuenta con 42 años de edad, vive con su pareja durante 14 años y tiene 7 hijos, viven en la casa que heredó en sus padres. Mujer de varios oficios; se dedica a criar cuyes, al tejido, a la venta de comestibles y también tiene algunos cultivos. Pero la mayor parte de su tiempo lo dedica a sus tejidos artesanales, donde pone toda su imaginación y creatividad. Con su herramienta fundamental, que es su pequeño telar y un cuadro o fotografía para guiarse de los colores y detalles del dibujo, confecciona sus tapices. Ahora, también está tejiendo chompas para niñas y niños de madejas gruesas, lo cual le resulta muy rentable, y con la venta de sus tapices, puede vivir con tranquilidad y cubrir los gastos de educación de sus hijos. Este arte textil los heredó de sus padres, y se siente muy orgullosa, con anhelos de tejer tapices en cantidades mayores para la Semana Santa, donde su pueblo es muy visitados por turistas nacionales y extranjeros. Mery es la presienta de su banco comunal, este es su 3er préstamo con MFP, y en todo este tiempo ha demostrado ser una cliente muy puntual en sus pagos. El dinero que solicita es para la compra de materiales para sus tejidos, con el afán de captar mayores ingresos económicos para el bienestar de su familia.

Teje bonitos tapices coloridos y también se dedica a la crianza de cuyes.

Gracias al préstamo que le dieron, Mery pudo comprar lanas teñidas, y madejas de diversos colores y grosores, asimismo adquirió cuyes de raza para su crianza y comercialización. Ahora cuenta con material para la elaboración de tapices dándole matiz y una serie de combinaciones coloridas en sus diseños, tejiéndole con mucha creatividad; asimismo el haber comprado cuyes se genera otra fuente de ingreso ya que piensa reproducirlos y venderlos en el mercado. De ese modo, Mery agradece por la ayuda oportuna, ya que gracias al préstamo pudo progresar en el negocio del tejido de lana así como tener otra fuente de ingreso con la venta de cuyes. En adelante seguirá trabajando con la misma responsabilidad, y dedicación ya que en el futuro desea continuar contando con el apoyo de todos ustedes, siendo de mucha importancia para su desarrollo.
