As you know, your generosity helped Ashura obtain a loan of $625 in March 2009 She is running a restaurant business and used the loan to purchase rice, beans, cooking oil, sugar, wheat flour and maize. She works hard at her business. Since she took out the loan, her business has been doing well and Ashura was able to pay bills, buy food for her family and to pay other expenses. In the future, she is planning to request another loan from SELFINA with which she planed to expand her business. On the personal front, her family is doing well. As you may remember, she is married and has four children. SELFINA aims to continue to assist Ashura and other women like her, and empower them towards financial security and increased confidence through micro loans.
