Lucy

Lucy is a 56 year old single mother, and she lives with her only son, who is a student. She sells jewelry in a stall in a market near her home. She has been doing this for 3 years, and it's going so well for her that there's not a single day she doesn't go to work. She likes her work because it makes her feel useful and, above all, she gets to interact with many people. Besides, it is profitable for her because her articles or of good quality and she has the trust of her customers.

For the future, Lucy wants to move her business to her home and add sales of clothing and shoes. This is her 12th loan with MFP. Her communal bank is called "Mujeres Talentosas" (Talented Women) and she likes to work with her group because they always support each other in solidarity. She will invest the money she's asking for in the purchase of merchandise and her tickets for travel, because she always makes her purchases in another city where she can find better prices.

Lucy es madre soltera, tiene 56 años de edad y vive con su único hijo que es estudiante. Se dedica a la venta de productos de pasamanería (adornos personales, aretes, collares, etc.) en un puesto de un mercado que se encuentra cerca de su casa. Esta actividad la viene ejerciendo desde hace 3 años y le va muy bien ya que no hay un día que deje de vender. Le gusta su trabajo porque le hace sentir útil y sobre todo se relaciona con muchas personas, además le es rentable porque los artículos que vende son de buena calidad y sus clientes confían mucho en ella. Para el futuro, Lucy quiere implementar su negocio en su casa y adicionar la venta de ropa y zapatos. Este es ya su 12avo préstamo con MFP. Su banco comunal se llama “Mujeres Talentosas”, y le gusta trabajar con su grupo porque siempre se apoyan entre todas y son solidarias.
