Kate Boakewaa

Kate Boakyewaa is 57 years old. She is married with five children. She lives at Mampong with her family. Currently all of her children are in school. She is a chemical seller and Kate also sells various kinds of drugs like blood tonic, pain killers, malaria drugs etc. in her neighborhood. Many local people patronize her drugs as first aid and cure when they are sick. She has been in business for twenty years and the only person who supplies pharmaceutical products in the community. Kate's chemical is registered to operate by Ghana pharmaceutical council. She wants to use the loan to increase her supplies of drugs to include others that are frequently requested by her customers. Kate hopes to raise good income to take care of her family. She also hopes to receive GH¢1000 to make business progress by restocking her inventory. This would enable her to save more to support her children in school. Kate belongs to a village bank called ‘Naomi’.
