Foster Odei

Foster Odei is 37 years old. He is married and has three children: two sons and one daughter. According to him, all his children are in junior high and the basic school. His wife is a fishmonger. He lives with his wife and children in a rented apartment in a small farming community called Nkwateng in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The major occupation of the residents, the men in particular, is farming.

Foster is a farmer and at the same time runs a provisions store in which he sells products such as sugar, milk, milo, toffees, etc. He says he procures his goods from Nkawkaw, a nearby city. His shop is located by the roadside. Foster has been in business for 10 years. He wants a loan to procure various provisions to stock his shop. He desires to give his children the best education he can afford.
