Kifaya invests in her bakery

Entrepreneur: Kifaya
Location: Al Nabatieh, Lebanon

We visited Kifaya at her bakery, where she makes a variety of baked goods. She used her loan proceeds to buy new baking equipment, to paint the store and to install a sink. With the new equipment she has been able to make additional items for sale. Her bakery has several tables where her customers can sit and eat.

Kifaya hopes that in the future she will be able to introduce a daily plate and thus increase activity in her business.

Kifaya’s business is in Nabatiyeh, in the south of Lebanon. Nabatiyeh is a large town and is the capital of the governorate of the same name. Lebanon is divided into six governorates. The town has a population of about 120,000 and is an important economic and cultural focal point of the region.
