The "El Quior" group is represented by María Ysabel, and includes relatives--María and Leticia are cousins--but each has their own independent income. The members have different economic activities, including food sales, promotion of various cosmetic brands, groceries, handicrafts, and public transport. As in all fields, there is competition in supply and demand, but the partners know how to succeed. The loan will be used to increase product stocks for their businesses, as well as the purchase of materials and inputs to improve business quality. The majority of the members have worked in financial foundations or organizations before, and thus have experience with solidarity groups. They analyzed their differences and are now in their second cycle, and they're satisfied with our product.

Update on your loan to El Quior group in Bolivia

Entrepreneur: El Quior Group
Location: Location Undisclosed, Bolivia

Journal written by loan officer Bismarck Lopez, Translated by Nilima Achwal

-The Kiva financing was used to increase the merchandise of their businesses, like for example buying material for sewing, goods for a bakery, etc.

-Their businesses improved since they were better able to satisfy the needs of their clients.

-The story of Mrs. Leticia: She bought more material for her sewing business, since it was too insufficient to satisfy her clients and also the needs of her family, since she sold too little. Now, with the Kiva loan, she´s selling a lot more and improving her own quality of life as she better satisfies the needs of her clients.

-The loan has improved the members´qualities of life since they can produce more, make more profits, and satisfy their basic needs, since before they could not buy everything they needed for their families.

-During the loan, one of the member´s sons got sick, but the rest of the group covered her payments and supported her to solve the problem.

-In the future, the women would like to keep increasing their capital and improving their children´s and families´ quality of life.
