Razia baji is a 39 year old married lady and citizen of Lahore, Pakistan for the past 40 years. Razia baji married a M. Ilyas, who drives an auto-rickshaw (a local three-wheeled motor vehicle) and has 5 years of experience. Razia baji has six children: three sons and three daughters. Her elder son has a utensils selling business. The others are getting their education from a school near their house. Razia baji’s first two daughters have a sewing clothes business. Razia baji taught them how to sew clothes, and now her daughters can independently sew clothes. Razia baji saves her daughters' income and plans to marry them off when she collects enough. She successfully repaid her first loan from Asasah (a microfinance institute of Pakistan). Now she is applying again for a loan to buy an electric sewing machine to help them sew clothes.

Razia baji is the group leader of four other women from her locality. Another Razia baji wants a loan to buy a sewing machine for sewing clothes. Nazia baji and Maqsoodan baji each want a loan to buy clothes for clothes selling businesses. Bilquis baji wants a loan to buy seasonal fruits for her fruit selling business.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
