Olimpia is 55 years old and lives with her 12-year-old daughter in their own home. She sells food products native to her region, like potatoes and cheese. Every weekend she travels to the capital city to sell her wares at various markets and also to make deliveries to customers who have placed orders. For the past three years Olimpia has run the risk of losing her merchandise during the trip because during the rainy season there are landslides on the highway that prevent travel and food products spoil. As this happens in the first few months of the year, she has decided to sell locally during those times. In the future, Olimpia wants to have a grocery store, but in the meantime will continue to work as before. This is the first time she has had a loan with MFP. She is happy to be a member of the community bank and has promised to be an active participant in the group's development. The money that Olimpia is requesting will go towards the purchase of more merchandise. In this way she will increase her working capital, will buy wheels of cheese, trout and other products. The sum that she seeks will be repaid in full.
