Sodjeji Ahiaku

Sodjeji Ahiaku is thirty-seven years old. He is married and has four children, all of whom are daughters. The first three of his daughters are already in school – junior high and primary schools. The last however, has yet to start. His wife is into palm oil production. He lives with his family in a rented apartment in a small farming community called Nkwateng in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The major occupation of the dwellers, the men in particular, is farming.

Sodjeji is a carpenter by profession and a trader as well. He trades in the palm oil the women produce in his community. What he does is to procure the palm oil in big gallons and trek to towns to sell. He distributes to customers who also retail and to food vendors. He wants a loan to procure palm oil in large quantities so that he can distribute to the increasing number of his customers. He has been in business for two years. He aspires to give his children the best of education.
