Khursheed Nazir Ahmad Group

Khursheed baji is the wife of Nazir ahmad and has been a citizen of Vehari, Pakistan for the last 14 years. Her husband has been running a grocery shop in the community for the last 5 years. People come to his grocery shop to buy groceries.

Khursheed baji is the mother of three children: two sons and one daughter. Her elder son works in a factory on monthly wage. The others are getting an education from a school located near her house. She is involved in a clothes sewing business. She charges $2 per dress and her customers are mostly her neighbors. She saves her income in a committee and wants to renovate her house with the committee amount. She is applying for a loan to buy groceries to diversify her husband’s grocery shop into a store.

She is the group leader for some more women from her locality. Kalsoom baji wants a loan to buy material (lentils, cooking oil and spices) for her food business. Sajida parveen baji wants a loan to buy tools for her motor repair workshop. Munawar sarwar baji wants a loan to buy animals (goats) for her animal selling business.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a group of individuals bound by a group guarantee.
