Ama Theresa is a local manufacturer of palm kernel oil. Palm kernel oil is produced from palm kernels. The palm kernel is a by-product of palm oil. The palm kernel is processed through various stages to obtain palm kernel oil which is used to prepare many local dishes like frying fish, making local soaps, and pastries. She produces and supplies oil to food vendors to prepare their meals. However, her production is on the low side as a result of low working capital to afford a machine for processing.
