Maria

Maria is a 58-year-old lady who lives in her own house together with her husband and daughter, whom she helps to care for her grandson. She sells medicinal and beauty products, an activity that her daughter’s support inspired her to start 6 years ago. Her kindness has helped her to increase her number of customers, who month by month place their orders with Doña Maria who visits them continuously to maintain contact and offer them new products. However, the hours of travel and the long walk end up tiring her out, but at the same time this motivates her because she is able to get lots of orders that she must take to her customers’ houses. This work has good financial advantages, Maria is able to take advantage of seasonal offers and then sell on the products at their normal prices, so earning an additional percentage which helps her to cover her transport costs.

She also takes part in another activity together with her partner. They hire out cars and she administers and controls the operation. Over time, Maria would like to increase their number of cars until it is possible to start up a rental company. Maria has been working with MFP for 5 years and this is her eighth loan. Up until now she has continued to take advantage of the financial and social opportunities offered by the Institution. This time, she is thinking of investing the money she is asking for in both businesses, so that she can increase her cosmetics and finalise the capital needed to purchase a car and thus increase her income.

María es una mujer de 58 años de edad, vive en su casa propia, junto a su esposo y a su hija a quien apoya en el cuidado de su nieto. Ella está dedicada a la venta de productos medicinales y productos de belleza, actividad que inició desde que recibió el apoyo de su hija, quien la impulsó a la venta de estos productos y desde hace 6 años ha progresado, pues su simpatía la ayudo a incrementar su clientela, quienes mes a mes realizan sus pedidos a doña María quien las visita continuamente para estar en contacto y ofrecerles nuevos productos. Sin embargo, las horas de viaje y de caminata terminan agotándola, pero al mismo tiempo la animan, porque puede obtener gran cantidad de pedidos que tendrá que presentar y llevarlos a sus clientes a sus respectivos domicilios. Este trabajo tiene buenas ventajas en lo económico, pues trata de aprovechar las ofertas por temporada y revender los productos a los precios habituales ganando así un porcentaje adicional, que ayudará a cubrir sus gastos de movilidad. También cuenta con una actividad adicional junto a su pareja, pues se dedican al alquiler de sus carros, ella lo administra y controla. Con el paso del tiempo María desea incrementar la cantidad de autos, para así poder instalar una empresa de alquiler. Hace 5 años que viene trabajando con MFP y este es su octavo préstamo, hasta ahora sigue aprovechando la oportunidad que le brinda la Institución tanto en lo económico como en lo social. Esta vez, tiene pensado invertir el dinero solicitado en ambos negocios, tanto para el incremento de cosméticos, como para completar el capital necesario para adquirir un auto y seguir aumentando sus ingresos económicos.
