Update from Peru on your loan!

Margarita is a member of the Violeta Communal Bank. Margarita has a convenience store in her house where she sells groceries, ice cream, phone cards, gas, and also has a public telephone. She works every day.

This is Margarita's second loan on Kiva. Margarita used this loan of 1000 soles to invest in school supplies to sell at her convenience store. She has been able to slowly bring herself past obstacles she has run into with her store. She has been able to augment her shop with a greater variety and quantity of products to sell. Everything is going well and she makes her payments on time, every time. She thanks FINCA for the loan, which has helped her to both save more and have more capital. Her favorite thing about FINCA is the solidarity she feels with the other women in her communal bank. She has borrowed from FINCA for 13 years and plans to continue to do so.

Below is a photograph taken of Margarita last week.
