Susana Koffie

Susana Koffie is 30 years old, divorced, and the mother of four children. She lives with her children who are in school. She got divorced due to pressure from the husband's parent. In spite of the challenges she faces, Susana believes in hand work and dedication, which are the secret of her success. She owns and operates a local restaurant where she sells local foods like banku. Banku is prepared from milled maize grains, and it is eaten with hot pepper or soup. She also sells ice water in a sachet form attached to her food joint. Susana realized automatically that after eating, people would need water to quench their thirst.

Susana needs a loan to enable her to purchase more raw materials like bags of maize, meat, fish, vegetables, and firewood. She says the cost of raw materials is very high now. She also wants to save part of the loan to venture into crop farming in the near future. Susana belongs to the village bank called ‘Adom Akyede’ meaning the Gift of Grace.
