You may remember a loan you made on Kiva to José Antonio (or Tony as he's more commonly called) on Kiva. Tony was one of the first clients that Fundacion para la Vivienda Progresiva (Kiva's partner MFI in Nuevo Laredo) posted on Kiva. Tony runs his taco cart, Tacos Tony, right across the street from the office of FVP. Tony's specialty is serving tacos de carne asada, or steak tacos, as well as handmade guacamole. Tacos Tony is open from early morning until 3pm, Mondays through Saturdays, and members of the FVP staff can often be found indulging there! Tony used his first loan on Kiva to rebuild his trailer, which you can see in the video. He has also successfully expanding his business and now owns a second cart in a different location! Tony is using his most current loan on Kiva to purchase ingredients such as meat for both this cart and the other cart he runs in another location. Tony said that without the capital provided to him by Kiva and FVP, he would have never been capable of expanding his business so successfully. More than anything else Tony is proud of his son, who is studying engineering at the local university, as well as helping out at his father's business. Tony wishes to thank all Kiva lenders for their support and invites them to come eat at Tacos Tony whenever they want!
