Annabelle Cruz

Annabelle is already 48 years old, married to Marcelino Cruz who is a tricycle (local three-wheeled vehicle) operator in Cauayan City. They have eight children: Marlon - 26 years old, elementary graduate; followed by Medelino, 22 years old, high school graduate; next are the twins Michael and Armando who are already 20 years old, elementary graduates; followed by Mamer, 18 years old and a high school graduate; next to him is the only rose among the thorns - Marcybelle, 14 years old, 3rd year high school student; Marvin, 10 years old, grade four at the moment; and the youngest is Mel John, 5 years old. They live a simple life and strive to make plans possible for the future of their big family through the assistance of her husband.

For almost 10 years, Annabelle successfully maintained her business which is selling clothes for adults and children, slippers and doormats so as to be able to send her younger children to school. Anabelle struggles so much in making door mats to add to her current products to increase her income and to pursue her plan to request a loan amounting to PHP 15,000 that will be utilized in her business to further develop her selling of RTW’s (Filipino clothing).

Hard work and patience are the keys to achieving all her ambitions, both in her business and family welfare, said Annabelle.
