Maryam M. Javed Group

Maryam Baji is 30 years old, married, and a citizen of a historical place named Yadgar in Lahore, Pakistan for the past 15 years. Her husband is M. Javed, who has a jewelry selling business. He buys jewelry from his native city Lahore. He has been in this business for the past 10 years. Maryam Baji helps him by selling his jewelry in the community, because his customers admire his collection. Maryam Baji successfully repaid her two loans from Asasah (a microfinance institute of Pakistan). Now she is applying again for a loan to buy more jewelry for her husband.

She is a group leader of some more women of her locality. Nasira Baji and Shahzadi Baji each want a loan to buy spare parts for vehicles to sell. Samina Baji wants a loan to buy jewelry to sell. Asia Baji wants a loan to buy reams of paper to sell.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
