Rashidan Gulzar Masih Group

Rashidan baji, 52, is a widow and a citizen of a historic place called Yadgar in the city of Lahore, Pakistan for the past 40 years. Rashidan baji is an uneducated lady. She couldn’t get an education because her parents couldn’t bear her education expenses. Rashidan baji’s deceased husband left her with one son. She worked hard to establish her son. She has been selling clothes for 10 years and has been able to register her son in a driving school so that he was able to learn driving skills. She is still selling clothes because she has a good number of customers in the community and outside of the community. She is applying for a loan to buy an auto-rickshaw (a local three-wheeled motor vehicle) for her son so that he will be able to earn a good income.

She is the group leader for some more women from her locality. Gulshan baji wants a loan to buy vehicle spare parts to sell. Doras Intikhab wants a loan to buy cosmetics to sell. Mussarat baji wants a loan to buy iron for making iron rods to sell. Naseem Nasreen baji wants a loan to buy clothes to sell.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
