Laila got married at an early age. Although her husband has a stable job she is not relying solely on her husband's salary since the payroll is always delayed and the take-home pay could not fully support their basic needs. So she looked for other means to earn an income to help her husband meet their day-to-day needs. When she heard of HSPFI offering loans to their community, she immediately applied and availed a loan amounting to PHP5000 to finance her ala carte food business (grilled meat either pork, chicken and beef). Laila was happy with the loan she got from HSPFI because she was able to earn and help her husband in raising their child. As the sales of her ala carte food business grew she needs a loan amounting to PHP8,000 to buy additional stocks and food containers to preserve the meat for her business.
