The nine women of the Yèrèdon group are all married and live in monogamous families, except for one. They have an average age of 35 and on average, 3 children; they all live in the Bozo Kin neighborhood of Sansanding (fourth administrative region of Mali).

They met because of bonds of marriage, of being neighbors, and at the market of Macina where they all go to buy their fish.

So as to grow their working capital and satisfy the ever-growing demand of their clientele, they decided to join Soro Yiriwaso with whom they are on their 3 group loan.

This loan will be used to buy 10 baskets of fresh tomatoes, 1.5 tons of fresh onions, 5 basins of green peppers and fresh hot peppers, 600 kg of smoked fish and dried sardines. They do their buying once a week at the fair of Sansanding as far as vegetables go. As for the fish: in Macina. The fish are re-sold in the fairs of Siribala, Dougabougou, and right there in Sansanding; the other condiments are sold at home and in the market of Sansanding for cash or credit and retail to a clientele essentially composed of women.

They expect to make an average monthly profit of 33,000 F CFA which will be used to reimburse the loan and for family expenses.

NB : Bana Toungara is absent from the photo. She gave birth the day before the photo was taken, so there are 8 women instead of 9.

PREMIER ET DERNIER FEED BACK

Entrepreneur: Yèrèdon Group
Location: Segou, Mali
