Mrs. Maribel Guillena, 41, married to Danilo, a farmern, is blessed with one son. Presently, she is residing at Napilan, Sapang Dalaga, Misamis Occidental. She was recognized as member of PDP-LP, the micro-finance Program of Paglaum last April 28, 2006. She is presently operating a small sari-sari (variety) store located at their residence. She started it through her first loan from the Cooperative amounting to PHP 2,500.
In two years of being a PMPC member she learned how to manage a small business, save money and attended various training activities. She is very thankful to PMPC for the programs and services that help her a lot. She is now on her 7th loan amounting to PHP 14,500.00 to be used as additional capital of her sari-sari store. She will purchase additional grocery items such as canned goods, rice, condiments and many others. She plans to expand her business to become a mini grocery someday.
Her greatest ambition in life is be able to let her son finish college and have a decent home for the family.
