Isidora

Isidora is a very hardworking 35-year-old woman who has a great desire to get ahead and knows that with dedication she will succeed. She has built a thriving business at over 17,000 feet above sea level in her rented home in the mining town of La Mina Rinconada, in the Puno region of Peru.

Isidora has a general store that supplies the population of La Mina Rinconada with groceries and other items for the home. She has had her business for 14 years, and the most difficult thing about living there is putting up with the intense cold of the Andes Mountains. But, she enjoys selling her merchandise and she feels that she is a part of the development of the town. She would like to increase the quantity of products she offers for sale, so that she can better meet the needs of the residents of her town.

This is Isidora's third loan with Kiva's partner Microfinanzas PRISMA, and she has plans for many more. She has been punctual in her loan repayments and has not had any problems with her community bank, where she is much beloved since she is very responsible. She will invest the money from this loan in the purchase of merchandise to improve her store.

Isidora es una mujer muy trabajadora, tiene una tienda su casa alquilada, a sus 35 años tiene muchas ganas de progresar en la vida y sabe que con mucho trabajo lo puede lograr. A 5400 m.s.n.m. en San Antonio de Putina (Provincia de la región de Puno), se encuentra el centro poblado La Mina Rinconada (Poblado predominantemente minero), en este pueblo Isidora a logrado poner un fructífero negocio, ella tiene una tienda donde vende de todo y con el cual abastece a los moradores de La mina Rinconada con víveres y demás artículos para el hogar. Son 14 años los que lleva negociando allí y lo más difícil de su trabajo es tener que soportar el intenso frío que hace en este pueblo cercano a la Cordillera de los Andes, pero le gusta vender sus productos y sentir que ayuda al progreso de este centro poblado, para el futuro de su tienda quiere incrementar la cantidad de productos que vende para satisfacer mejor la demanda de los numeroso pobladores de La Mina Rinconada. Isidora se encuentra en su tercer préstamo con MFP, y tiene pensado acceder a otros más, por lo cual quiere pagar puntualmente todas sus cuotas y no traerle problemas a su banco comunal donde es muy querida, ya que es muy responsable. El dinero solicitado se invertirá en la comprar de mercadería para implementar mejor su negocio.
