Hajra M. Ameen Group

Hajra baji is a 41 years old married lady and has been a citizen of the city of Pakpattan, Pakistan for the past 30 years. Her husband, M. Ameen, has a chicken selling business. Hajra baji also helps him with his business. She packs the chickens in a web mesh for selling. She has successfully repaid her two loans from Asasah (a microfinance institute of Pakistan). Now she is applying for another loan to buy more chickens to expand her husband’s business.

She is a loan group leader of several women of her locality. Bushra baji wants a loan to buy clothes for her clothes selling business. Zarina baji wants a loan to buy wooden beams for her window shutter business. Ameeran baji wants a loan to buy groceries for her grocery shop. Zubaida baji wants a loan to buy an auto-rickshaw (a local three-wheeled motor vehicle). Shamim akhtar baji wants a loan to buy fertilizer to resell.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.




About Group Loans
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a group of individuals bound by a group guarantee.
