Olga , 28, has lived for 11 years with her partner and their 3 children. They live in a rented house and devote their time to manufacturing fruit crates, work they have been doing for more than 11 years. This work gives them much joy and economic satisfaction, since despite the tough competition, Olga loves her work. She cuts and shapes the wood, measuring to the appropriate thickness, to fabricate crates for bananas, avocados, and other produce.

They produce from 200 to 400 crates per month, investing from 100 to 200 soles, and making a profit double the initial investment. They prepare their shipments weekly, which means that often they begin work at 4 in the morning and work until 10 at night. Since the orders are increasing, they must look for a person to help them, in order to take advantage of these months, since the rest of the year sales are not as good, due to the seasonal nature of agricultural products.

Olga attends every program meeting punctually, acquitting every fee in accordance with her payment schedule--this is her fifth loan through MFP. With the money she is requesting, she will buy a larger quantity of wood for the fabrication of additional fruit crates.
