In 2004, Bosco left the village for Kinshasa to finish the last two years of his higher education. He then began selling rings in Kinshasa in 2004 to support his studies. After his wife joined him in Kinshasa in 2005, they restarted selling salted fish, sugar, milk and charcoal which was generating $150 of profit per month. The monthly income generated from his business helped Bosco support his family in Kinshasa until October 2007 when he joined one of Hope’s groups called “Vision”. Bosco has been a faithful Hope client since then and his business has prospered. Bosco’s ambition is to open a pharmacy.
