The four women of the group Fadenkene (all married) have an average age of 41 and on average 4 children. They live in traditional extended families in District 1, a neighborhood of the town of Loulouni, third administrative region of Mali.

They have various businesses, among others buying and selling beans, atiéke (cassava grits), gasoline, and working in food service. So as to satisfy the needs of their clientele, they decided to join Soro Yiriwaso. They are on their 9th group loan, and all the preceding ones have been repaid.

They intend to use this loan to buy 2 sacks of 100 kg of atiéke, 1 jerry can of 10 liters of cooking oil, 3 sacks of 100 kg of beans, 2 sacks of 100 kg of rice, 2 packets of condiments (for food service), and 2 barrels and a half of gasoline. They do their buying in the town of Kadiolo and Loulouni and surroundings. The merchandise is sold at the market, especially on weekly market days (to itinerant merchants), at the roadside, and in the neighborhoods, to a clientele composed of men and women.

They each expect to make an average profit of 27,250 F CFA per month of which a part will be used for family expenses and the rest invested back into their businesses. The women of the Fadenkene group each hope one day to be a wholesaler or to open up a restaurant worthy of the name or a real shop.

PREMIER ET DERNIER FEED BACK

Entrepreneur: Fadenkene Group
