Irshad baji is a 49 year old married lady who has lived in a city named Pakpattan, Pakistan for the past 15 years. Pakpattan city is famous for its shrine places. People come to this city to visit the shrine places where they make wishes. Her husband's name is Akbar ali, who is a milk seller by profession. He has been doing this work for the past 12 years. Irshad baji helps her husband get milk from the buffalo. Presently, they have one buffalo at their house.

Irshad baji has two sons. Her elder son works in a factory and the other one runs a grocery shop. She successfully repaid her two loans from Asasah (a microfinance institute of Pakistan). Now she is applying again for a loan to buy another buffalo to expand their milk selling business.

She is a group leader of some more women in her neighbourhood. Shamshad baji wants a loan to buy material (thread, elastic and cloth) for her ribbon making business. Suraiya baji wants a loan to buy a buffalo for her milk selling business. Ghafooran baji wants a loan to buy a sewing machine for her sewing business.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
