Nabeela baji is a 35-year-old married woman who has lived in Ismail Nagar in Lahore, Pakistan for the past 20 years. Her parents were not able to provide a good education for her, so she left her school after completing 5th standard. She is married to Royan Masih. He has been selling children's clothing for the past 4 years.

Nabeela baji is the mother of seven children: three sons and four daughters. Her eldest son does lath work. The others attend a school near their house. Nabeela baji belongs to a family of farmers. She has a buffalo in her house and takes care of it. She gets milk from her and sells the milk in milk shops and earns a profit. She does this work to fulfill the needs of her children.

Nabeela baji successfully repaid her two previous loans from Asasah, a microfinance institute of Pakistan. Now she is applying again for a loan to buy more garments to expand her husband’s business.

She is the group leader of a group of women of her locality. Munawar baji wants a loan to buy clothes for her cloth business. Ghafooran baji wants a loan to buy scrap for her scrap business. Mussarat baji wants a loan to buy tools for her business repairing electric items. Razia baji wants a loan to buy wood to resell.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.

Note: "Baji," which means "older sister," is a term of respect for women in Pakistan.
