Agnes Akomah

Agnes Ankoma is forty-six years old. She is divorced but has four children to care for, all are girls. She lives with her children in a rented apartment in Offinso in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. One of her children is married. One is in junior high school; the others are learning trade. Agnes works very hard to provide for the family. She sells maize at the local market. Agnes procures bags of maize from farmers in the surrounding communities. She supplies to retailers in her community and also sells on a table top in the local market square. She has been in business for over twenty years. Agnes wants a loan to procure bags of maize produce to retail to more customers. She needs to increase her profit to be able to provide for the family.
